Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The shop is heated with no air conditioning. There are three big sealing fans, water coolers, and small fans in the shop.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
17 Techs
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
7:00am-6:00pm Monday thru Friday 8:00am-3:00pm Saturday CLOSED on Sundays!!!!
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide all GM required essential tools and major equipment
What type of break room facility is provided?
A lunch room with a refrigerator, a microwave, sink, and a counter

How many repair orders do you average per month?

What is your parts ordering process?
As soon as the tech places the order the parts are ordered immediately, and will be received as soon as possible for technicians to finish repairs

No side work allowed

Friendly and helpful.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We encourage training and continuing the education of our staff. We provide GM trainings that can include web-based and hands-on training. This will be paid for by the dealership
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Opportunities are endless for the right employee. Technicians who start at a porter position can work their way up and progress into a fully commissioned technicians. We can help achieve this through our trainings, and by putting technicians on a career path to achieve their career goals
Can you describe your performance review process?
Our performance reviews are daily, monthly, and yearly. Discussions can include things like the technician's numbers, likes and dislikes, what they're doing well and what we can help improve, upcoming trainings, and taking a look at future goals
What type of safety training is required?
Lifting, proper eye wear, and clothing, proper vehicle lifting procedures. hazardous chemical handling
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Younger techs will work hands-on with an experienced tech for at least a year. Experienced tech will be available to answer questions and work side-by-side through repairs when time permits
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Field day trips
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We've hired several students as part-time apprentices to introduce them to the industry
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, light gauge on the candidate's interest level for the position, and some basic entry questions
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Discussion includes the candidate's work history, skill set, likes and dislikes, career goals, and current employment
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Yes
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No formal skill assessment. Assessment is done through the interview process

Pay Range: $42,000.00 - $77,000.00/year
A, B, C, Techs. Pay will be based on experience, certifications, and skill set
