The Production Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance service team for all revenue producing and service vehicles, as well as shop equipment. The role supervises, directs, and assigns work to service technicians to attain high levels of quality, morale, safety, and efficiency within the company's maintenance/service team. 

 

• Ensure that all work is completed and meets General Motors standards
• Communicate effectively with other shifts to run workflow efficiently
• Keep up-to-date on the latest workplace safety and environmental requirements and implement all health and safety policies on the shop floor
• Maintain and service equipment as needed or according to dealership and manufacturer standards
• Interview drop-off drivers and document vehicle complaints
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Craft job orders, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures
• Test-drive vehicle once service is complete to ensure that they run smoothly
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to Warranty Clerk
• Look out for training and factory technical bulletins as they become available
• Oversee technician training and schooling 

• Extensive GM automotive mechanical experience preferred
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, math, and writing skills
• Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment
• GM dealership experience required
• Management or customer service experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ASE certification required
• Master Tech or World Class Tech preferred

 

• Able to work Monday thru Saturday with one day off during the week
• Professional communication skills with customers and team members
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
• Clean driving record with a valid non-suspended driver’s license
• Background check and drug screen
• Bilingual strongly recommended
