Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is heated with a top of the line heating and filtration system. The shop is not equipped with air conditioning but the ventilation and location keep it cooler during the summer months.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have 37 Technicians working in our shop.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open in the service department from 7am to 7pm. The shift time frames are: 7am-4pm 8am-5pm 9am-6pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have too many to list here, we have an entire room dedicated to storing tools for technicians to use to complete their jobs.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a large break room with a flat screen TV mounted and an Avanti market. We have recently opened our cafe/deli for employees and guest's

How many bays does your shop have?

54 service bays 2 alignment bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?


What is your parts ordering process?

We have two full time back parts counter professionals to assist technicians with procurement of parts.

What is your policy on side work?

We have a shop night the third Thursday of every month for the technicians to work on their own vehicles or family member vehicles.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Paid for passing ASEs Paid training for certifications Partnership with Toyota TXM Partnership with local community college We do offer a mentorship program for our up and coming technicians.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We as a company believe in continuous improvement through knowledge. We believe in promoting and moving up from within. We offer paid schooling and classes to qualifying technicians.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Hours produced are monitored daily.

What type of safety training is required?

We operate our safety procedures according to OSHA standards and will train new employees on our procedures.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We will pair a younger technician up with one of our senior technicians to help them learn the processes and gain knowledge of the product they are working with.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We get involved with the community through food drives, clothing drives and toy drives during the holidays.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have adopted a local High School, and are working with them through recruiting and job programs.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

As the number one Toyota Dealership in the State of Washington.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have an online application that typically takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Inquiring about work history, where the candidate would like to be within two years of starting work with our company. A tour of the facility and introduction to the General Manager as well as the Assistant Service Manager.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We perform a background check and a driving history check.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $82,000 - $95,000/year

Pay is structured on ASE qualifications

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $58,000 - $65,000/year

Pay is structured on ASE qualifications

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $42,000 - $48,000/year

Pay is structured on ASE qualifications

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $39,000 - $43,200/year

Entry level and we are willing to train

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $40,000 - $90,000/year
