2-5 Technicians, 2-3 Service Advisors

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday thru Friday, from 8AM to 5PM. Overtime available

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Maintenance tools and equipment (oil filter wreches, fluid evacuation and dispensing, etc.), specialty tools (ball joint press, cooling system pressure tester, compression tester, etc.), a community set of general mechanic tools (Ratchets, sockets, drivers, pliers, etc.), Scan tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Private full break room recently furnished and remodeled.

How many bays does your shop have?

6 bays, 3 two post lifts, 1 four post lift

How many repair orders do you average per month?

100+

What is your parts ordering process?

We use partsTech integration through Tekmetric. Our most used vendors are Seattle Automotive, IMC/Parts Authority and Worldpac

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is not permitted at the shop or recommended outside of the shop.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are building. So your contribution will add it's own dimension to an already solid team.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes. Any training opportunities that come up in the local area may be payed for by the shop.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

The most important is that we are building a shop culture here and any addition to our team is a step toward growth. The training offered, as well as the on-the-job training and education is valuable. We are constantly aiming to learn the new industry technologies and equip ourselves with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are done on a bi-annual basis (2 times per year). We review efficiency, productivity, comeback rate, shop culture, etc.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety training is required for entry level positions, safety orientation and equipment check for experienced technicians.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Everyone is the shop is very open to being a mentor. The owner of the shop is the most qualified to train on the job, so he is your most valuable source of help and mentorship.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We work with DSHS to get low income families bills paid. We also work with the local elementary schools on certain activities for the kids.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are working on getting this setup.

We ask a few question to gain insight into the overall type of person we are speaking with.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

General gathering of information needed for background check, and a full set of questions to see what level of experience you are at, and discussion of yours and ours expectations.
