Shop is heated but not air-conditioned

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Currently 3 employees (Including the owner)

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop is open 6:00am-6:00pm. Current shifts are 6:00am-3:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Manufacture specific software and programming. Specialty tools for testing including but not limited to lab scope, refractometers, borescopes, load testers, thermal imager, alignment equipment, A/C machines, welders.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Heated and Air conditioned office with fridge, microwave, table, chairs, TV

How many bays does your shop have?

Currently 2, but we are expected to be moving into a new building by the end of the year with 4

How many repair orders do you average per month?

50/tech

What is your parts ordering process?

Currently, parts are ordered by Manager or Owner.

What is your policy on side work?

What happens outside of work is none of our business, unless it affects our business. (Attendance, quality, attitude, etc.)

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Not currently, this is something we could be open to if the technician is interested, and the opportunities present themselves

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We look to advance technicians skill sets and understanding of our industry. There will also be opportunities for growth in shop management positions

Can you describe your performance review process?

90-day probation period after hire date, yearly after. Basic conversation that includes what the technician did well, what they could work on, and if there's anything we can do to improve things

What type of safety training is required?

Specialty training for specific systems (I.E. Hybrid or EV, Forklift, welding)

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Experienced technicians will be available to answer questions, and help with repairs when time permits

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Not currently

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Not currently

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Prefer to have adequate personnel to provide excellent customer service to every customer equally. Ability to have the freedom for technicians to chase passions within company. (I.E. Sponsor local school competitions, motorsports, apprentice programs)

A Level Technician Pay Range: $35.00 - $42.00/hour

B Level Technician Pay Range: $26.00 - $35.00/hour

Hourly, Minimum 40/week, overtime possible

C Level Technician Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.00/hour

Hourly, Minimum 40/week, overtime possible

Lube Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00/hour
