Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Our shop is heated and Air Conditioned to keep our technicians comfortable in all the seasons
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Our Service Department has a total of 24 people on staff.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
The Service Department is open Monday-Friday 7am-6pm and Saturdays from 7am-5pm
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All of the VW Specialty Tools are provided by the dealership for all technicians use.
What type of break room facility is provided?
The breakroom is climate controlled with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker for use.
How many bays does your shop have?
17 total bays
How many repair orders do you average per month?
900-1000 is our typical average for repairs orders
What is your parts ordering process?
Once work is approved, the Parts Department will order the Parts. There is a depot in Fort Worth so in most cases the Parts come in next day if not in stock.
What is your policy on side work?
You can work on your personal vehicle with a Repair Order on the VIN.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Definitely worth mentioning again that our shop has AC and Heat!
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer in house training as well as Manufacturer training to become VW Certified.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Currently we have several technicians that have grown with the organization. Your career path is up to you!
Can you describe your performance review process?
Monthly the shop foreman and I sit down and lay out your production goals with you as well as giving feedback to help you reach your goals!
What type of safety training is required?
All dealership safety standards are adhered to, allowing you the peace of mind to not have to work with faulty equipment.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Starting out the shop foreman will be your goto for your in house training/problem solving. Later as you develop your skills, you will be paired with a VW Master Certified tech to hone those skills!
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Our dealership helps several non-profit organizations several times a year with donations and community service!
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We have several UTI graduates as well as current students! We are happy to work around their school schedules.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We do not phone screen applicants and prefer the first interaction to be in person. We can/will do Zoom interviews if the applicant has time constraints.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
In person interviews include discussions regarding career paths as well as a tour of the facility.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Background checks, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record checks are required.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We do not as we do hire without experience.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
The process after the interview usually takes 2-3 business days.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
3-5 Business Days is the normal length of time.
A Level Technician

C Level Technician
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hour
We have a need to entry level technicians with some experience. If you have an interest in making automotive your career, we would love to talk to you! We have several career paths that would fit YOUR needs!
Lube Technician
Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00/hour
We have an immediate need for Lube Technicians! We have a very strong belief of "promote from within". If your passion is cars in general, I would be interested in speaking with you and explaining the different available career paths!
