Shop Talk
Top Shop Challenge: Over the last several years, we’ve seen huge improvements in benefits and perks for technicians. Describe any non-standard benefits/perks you added recently or plan to add next year.
It’s our profit-sharing week! We will discuss how the year went on a both financial aspect and our productivity. We will gather in the large shop with a nice meal provided. Then we will end the week on Saturday with our company Christmas party. Both events are a pretty big deal to the company, our group of employees really enjoy setting work aside and getting together on a more personal level.
Top Shop Challenge: When you think of 2023, what event(s) in the shop come to mind first?
• Logan and Derek both made the trip out to Colorado to Bobcat University to obtain their Gold certification through in person training. • In addition to our core products, we have added compact tractors and articulating tractors. • Over the last year, we have sold over 75 units. • With the addition of our fleet of equipment we have increased our presences in the rental market. Thanks to our technicians taking care of all our new equipment.
Top Shop Challenge: Let's talk about shop meetings. How do you keep your team informed without having too many meetings?
Once a month we have a product update meeting/training. At the end of the meeting, we have "open floor" time. This allows the technicians to talk about anything they want. This could be something personal, a funny story, challenges they faced in the last month, etc. We typically meet for one to two hours, it's nice to give the technicians a break from the shop.
