Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

We have large cooling fans, open front and rear bays that allowing to flow through the shop and anticipate a Portacool Pro Cooling Fan by next summer. We have a 140,000 BTU Portable Heater for extreme cold days (Bay doors stay mostly closed throughout these particular days)

10 Total 2 Service Advisors 4 Technicians 1 Office Manager 3 Owners/Managers

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm Closed Sundays Rotating on weekends

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We hold one scanner, battery tester, tpms sensor tester and other small and large tools. Technicians will have to provide their own tools/hand tools

What type of break room facility is provided?

Our breakroom is a private air-conditioned room with a fridge, microwave, table, chairs, tv, coffee and water

What is your parts ordering process?

Service advisors order parts. We stock most common, filters and all fluids and supplies. Most parts suppliers are within a mile and parts arrive in a timely manner.

What is your policy on side work?

We offer our staff an employee discount and the ability to work on their own vehicle. Also, a friends and family discount with a commission for referral. We do not allow on-site side work.

We conduct quarterly performance reviews for all positions to review performance, room for improvement, rewards with a good review and if applicable opportunities for promotion.

What type of safety training is required?

Understanding and implementation of basic safety procedures and practices.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have a procedure involving young or newer technicians to train and shadow the more experienced technicians, helping with the bigger repairs and learning from the explanations from the experienced technicians.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We offer field trip tours to the facility within the elementary and middle schools within our area. We sponsor local events and school functions in our area. We are expanding our presence and programs to get more involved with the local community and charities.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are developing a program to promote and inform the high school and tech school students to understand the profession more.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

Growth opportunities are always available and encouraged to reach for. As our company grows we plan to fill education, community involvement roles to promote our company brand.

Yes, we start with a phone screening, a phone interview, and then an in-person interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In-person interview consists of a dive into personal goals, career goals, current skill set, past employment, reason for the move, future outlook and long-term plans.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes. Personality tests on our customer service representatives, service advisors and managers.

We may require a week of paid on-site skills assessment prior to acceptance and onboarding.

Typically within 1-2 weeks.

Lube Technician/MPI Pay Range: $13.00 - $17.00/hour

Hourly position, opportunities for commission/bonuses available based on quality and efficiency

Service Advisor Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00/year

Base salary plus commission

A Level Technician Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00/hour

Based on flat rate pay structure. Dependent on experience and efficient use of time.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00/hour

Based on flat rate pay structure. Dependent on experience and efficient use of time.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00/hour

Based on flat rate pay structure. Dependent on experience and efficient use of time.

Shop Manager Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00/year

Salary plus commission on gross profit Annual Bonus
