Shop hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-5:00PM Opportunity for after-hours service calls.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Specialty tools for tire repair are provided; mechanical work would need to provide tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
The facility has a break room, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, vending machine, and coffee machine.
How many bays does your shop have?
The facility has 4 bays.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
240 repair orders per month
What is your parts ordering process?
The Service Manager is responsible for ordering any parts needed for the shop.
What is your policy on side work?
No side work can be completed at the facility
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, training opportunities for the store and technicians. This could include, alignment training, brake training, wheel end, steering and suspension repairs.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
There are different opportunities an employee could pursue. Mechanic, Alignment Tech, Sales, Management.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Reviews are conducted annually and include a self-review, a manager review, and a meeting to discuss performance and potential compensation increases.
What type of safety training is required?
Bauer Built offers a wide variety of safety training: -Health and Safety training -Fire Extinguisher training -Hazard Communication -Lock Out Tag Out -Cargo Securement -Safety Certificate -Michelin Tire Service Training -TIA 200 training
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
New employees are paired with an experience technician to mentor new technicians, and help answer any questions.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We support our local Veterans.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Not currently
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Applicants will do an in-person interview with the hiring manager.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Applicants will meet with the hiring manager, conduct the interview, and receive a tour of the facility.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Bauer Built performs a post-offer background check and drug screening. If the position is a driving position, it will require the applicant to fill out a driving record check to see if the applicant is eligible to drive company vehicles.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No skill assessment before hire.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Within 2-3 business days.

Depending on the amount of applicants, the total process from application to hire could take 2-3 weeks.
