Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our two shops are fully equipped with air conditioning and heating, providing you with a comfortable and enjoyable experience all year round.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

19 Main shop technicians, 4 Express technicians, and 8 Service Advisors

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Shop hours are Monday-Friday 7am-6pm and Saturday 8am-6pm. We offer the 4 day work week - 10 hour a day options

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have a complete collection of specialized required tools for all Honda models. Utilizing Honda's special tool cabinets, we keep our OE tools neatly organized. This means minimal delays and efficient service for you. We also use the latest in automotive technology, including advanced alignment racks, tire balancing machines, overhead oil systems, on and off-vehicle brake lathes, and much more

What type of break room facility is provided?

We offer a newly remodeled breakroom equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer, and a 70" 4K TV.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

What is your parts ordering process?

Parts are ordered electronically through CDK digital MPI. Parts will be received as soon as possible for technicians to complete repairs

What is your policy on side work?

It is important to note that side work is not permitted inside our facility. In light of this, we offer access to our facility to enable our employees to maintain and service their vehicles and those of their families. This service ensures that our employees can benefit from a well-maintained vehicle, which is essential for their daily commutes. We encourage our employees to take advantage of this service, which is offered to promote their safety and convenience.

At AutoNation, we pay for all necessary manufacturer trainings.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Utilizing our Industry Leading Technician Wage Grid, we provide each of our technicians a standardized growth plan for each level of technicians. With over 300 locations, we have the ability to grow coast to coast.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We perform semi-annual performance reviews.

What type of safety training is required?

We have continual professional online and “in person “ safety training designed for each job function by KPA compliance professionals.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We would typically match younger technicians with experienced technicians who have experience mentoring younger technicians. They would work side-by-side on physically on vehicles as well as diagnostically working on our equipment.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our dealership as a whole does some local sponsorships and Autonation as a company does a tremendous amount of work across the US.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

At AutoNation, it’s about more than selling and servicing cars and trucks. It’s about taking care of people. Through our DRV PNK mission and with the support of our Customers, Associates and communities, we partner with cancer charities from coast to coast to raise and donate millions of dollars to cancer research and treatment. Every October, Associates from more than 300 AutoNation locations unite on DRV PNK Across America Day, to deliver messages of hope to patients battling cancer. We also provide company-paid cancer insurance to every associate and their eligible dependents from their first day.

Yes, we will contact every qualified candidate with a phone screen but walk-ins are always welcome!

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Meet with our Service Manager, a few team members and a tour of the facility.

Yes, we perform background checks and drug screens.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Your skills are assessed during the interview process. Once you're in the building and you begin to demonstrate different abilities, your technician level may be increased.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We keep people informed throughout the process and provide feedback within 48 hours of an interview.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Less than 1 week.

Service Technician Pay Range: $20.00 - $33.50/hour

Our Technicians are paid based on an industry-leading technician wage grid that provides pay range per flat rate hour based on experience, plus opportunities for overrides and longevity bonus based on a combination of experience and manufacturer certifications.

ST / LT Disability Offered
You can elect disability coverage through AutoNation’s Voluntary Disability Plan, which offers income protection if you become disabled and are unable to work due to a sickness or injury. The Plan replaces 65% of your Eligible Pay, up to a maximum of $1,384.62 per week, for the first 26 weeks of a disability that is not work-related, and 50% of your Eligible Pay, up to a maximum of $6,000 per month, if you’re disabled longer than 180 days (whether the injury is work-related or not).
Life Insurance Offered
AutoNation provides you with company-paid basic life insurance. Coverage is $15,000, $25,000, or $50,000, based on your position. You can elect to pay into additional Life Insurance policies for yourself, spouse or child.
