Yes, FRCC, (Front Range Community College). We help, sponsor and dontate equipment and or car parts to their Automotive program.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Not always, depends upon location. We will do an interview over the phone if the tech lives far away, then set up a flight and in person interview.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
A normal interview... I expect straight forward answers, I ask questions about their experience, what a potential candidate likes / dislikes about automotive industry, their experiences at their past dealerships, productivity, hours produced, quality of work.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Always
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Typically not. If the interview goes well, and we feel they are a good fit, we will hire them. If a tech comes to work for us and it is apparent that they cannot perform what they stated they can, this will be quickly addressed.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Just a few days... typically within 48 hours, these offers are contingent upon background and drug test.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
This depends upon if we need someone immediately, and the situation of the candidate as well. If I need someone immediately you can expect that we would be ready to have someone start within 2 weeks.
