M-F 7:00am-5:00pm Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm
S 7:30am-3:00pm One Saturday every six weeks.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All Audi MFG specialty tools provided including computers and diagnostic software. Technicians are expected to have their own tools and toolbox.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Climate controlled with fridge, microwave and TV.

What is your parts ordering process?
Parts are ordered electronically and delivered to technicians.
What is your policy on side work?
We do not allow side work to be done on site as it is an insurance issue.

Family atmosphere with solid leadership. Saturday lunches provided. Technician bbq and team events. Steak dinners quarterly based on team metrics.

Shop pays for completed and passed ASEs. Shop pays for MFG training both on site and off premise including : Travel, Lodging, Food, and time at class.

Performance Reviews are each done at service manager's discretion.

Monthly safety meetings. On-line safety training at hire. Safety committee on site.

Our senior technicians are afforded the opportunity to mentor new and upcoming techs.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our local stores and national recruiters are very involved with local High School vocational programs . Lithia Motors Inc. is a preferred employer at all national vocational schools.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Applicants are phone screened by a recruiter and then an in person or phone interview is scheduled with the service manager.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
One on one question and answer with the service manager and shop foreman if available.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Assessments may be conducted prior to offer. Background, MVR and Drug Screens are conducted after offer and with hire being contingent to outcome.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
There are some assessments that are performed on line.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
We try to keep in contact with our candidates and a rejection or offer is usually made within a week.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Depending on the number of applicants it usually takes less than a week.
A Level Technician
Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00/year
Flat Rate. Audi expert level technician.
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $52,000.00 - $80,000.00/year
Flat Rate. At least two years dealer experience and Audi certifications preferred.
C Level Technician
Pay Range: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00/year
Flat Rate. Entry level technician. On the job training provided.

AUDI OF DES MOINES
UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY - Take Us for a Test Drive
AUDI of DES MOINES is searching for the right person to fill a very unique Service Technician position. Searching for a Class B technician with German experience who is looking for a little extra money or who has ever wondered what it would be like to work at a dealership but didn't want to jump into the unknown, this may be the opportunity for YOU! The right candidate will have at least 3 years of experience to work on Saturdaysor in the evenings during the week ONLYwith the possibility to work up to a full-time mainline technician if that is the path you want to take. Must be able to work on his/her own with little supervision.
Responsibilities:
The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
Diagnose the cause of malfunction.
Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
Road-test vehicles to ensure the quality of repair work.
Document work performed on the repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures.
Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools.
Training as needed/required.
Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Min. of 3 years experience as a Class A or B technician
German experience
Suspension and alignment experience, a plus
ASE and manufacturer certification, desired
A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in your state of residence - a must.
