AUDI of DES MOINES is searching for the right person to fill a very unique Service Technician position.  Searching for a Class B technician with German experience who is looking for a little extra money or who has ever wondered what it would be like to work at a dealership but didn't want to jump into the unknown, this may be the opportunity for YOU!  The right candidate will have at least 3 years of experience to work on Saturdays or in the evenings during the week ONLY with the possibility to work up to a full-time mainline technician if that is the path you want to take.  Must be able to work on his/her own with little supervision.  

Responsibilities:

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure the quality of repair work.
• Document work performed on the repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures.
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools.
• Training as needed/required.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Min. of 3 years experience as a Class A or B technician
• German experience 
• Suspension and alignment experience, a plus
• ASE and manufacturer certification, desired
• A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in your state of residence - a must.
