It is heated and air conditioned. State-of-the art as the building is about 8 years old.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

13 Technicians, 4 service advisors, 6 valets.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Flexible shift times.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

All Audi special tools are provided.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Lunch room with refrigerator and microwave is available.

What is your parts ordering process?

Ordering is all done electronically through our DMS communications. Parts will be received as soon as possible for technicians to complete repairs.

What is your policy on side work?

You may work on yours and your immediate families cars with a repair order opened.

We have a talented group of technicians that are eager to help one another succeed.

Employee participate in on-line and in-person training from Audi Corporate.

Employees can move up with certifications but can also move into positions such as dispatch, service advisors or management.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Employees are reviewed every year but received regular feedback on their work performance.

What type of safety training is required?

Employee will attend safety training provided by ENYCAR which does DEEP training.

our master technician's mentor younger technicians by fostering collaboration and growth in several ways: knowledge sharing, hands on guidance, encouragement of questions, problem solving and inspiration.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

At this time, we do not.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

Employees receive salary increases as their skills increase over time.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We do an initial phone screen to learn more about the candidate and let them learn more about us. We discuss duties, work environment, hourly rate and incentive pay.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Candidates will meet with Service Manager, Service Director, and General Manager of Audi Albany. Final candidates meet with our Market President.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Prior to an offer being made we do a license check to see if the candidate is insurable. Must have a clean license since they will drive a customer's vehicle. Background checks are performed on candidates once a position is offered.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

We do not perform a skills assessment; however, you will meet with the shop foreman during the interview process.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Within a few days.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Approximately one week.

Technician Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $150,000.00/year ($21.63 - $72.12/hr)

Pay based on training, experience and Audi certification levels.

NYS Paid Sick Leave - accrue 1 hour for every 30 hours worked to a maximum of 56 hours per calendar year.

Receive a pro-rated amount based on hire date on 1/1 of following year. Then 40 hours plus pro-rated amount on 1/1 of second January 1. On third 1/1, receive 80 hours of vacation; 120 hours after 5 years
