8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. One hour lunch break
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide specialty tools and equipment such as scanners ac recovery machine and specialty hand tools

Table, sofa, & refrigerator

85 to 100 depending on how many techs we have
What is your parts ordering process?
We use Napa Tracs & Parts Tech.
What is your policy on side work?
Side work is OK as long as it does not interfere with the job.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We are Napa Auto Care center. Several live training seminars are provided through Napa Autotec during the year. These are primarily learning about updates for the newest changes and problem vehicles. Auto Tech also has many on line training videos.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Primarily by on the job training.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We really do not have a formal process. It is mostly continuous since we are a small shop
What type of safety training is required?
Nothing formal. Mostly on the job.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our shop manager is ASE certified. He works with all the techs to help diagnoses and training. He likes to mentor, as long as the tech will pay attention.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Not at this time.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Not at this time.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, we have a brief phone interview with potential employees.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Discussion of abilities, tools and what we need. Getting know the candidate as a person

Not at this time must have valid driver license

Depends on the candidate and what the situation is

B Level Technician
Pay Range: $16.00 - $30.00/year
Guaranteed 16 per hour. Pay is based on flat rate hours. Currently 38.32 per billable hour.
Service Advisor
Pay Range: $12.00 - $16.00/hour
Depends on experience
Student Tech / Apprentice
Pay Range: $11.00 - $12.00/hour
Can get raise depending on billable hours
C Level Technician
Pay Range: $12.00 - $16.00/hour
Guaranteed 12 per hour. Pay is based on flat rate hours. Currently 38.32 per billable hours.
