What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Our service and parts department hours are as follows: Monday: 7:30am-7:00pm (technicians work till 7pm on rotation) Tuesday - Friday: 7:30am-5:30pm
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All Toyota special tools are available for technicians to us. In addition to special tools we have a Technician Tool Incentive Program in partnership with Snap-on. We recognize that technicians are entering the market, sometimes with little capital to invest in tools of the trade. This program allows us the dealer to invest in the technician, while the technician invests in their career.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our break room is located in the shop between the male technician locker room and female technician locker room. Our break room has a kitchen with full size fridge, freezer, and microwave.
How many bays does your shop have?
13
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average between 580 to 600 RO's a month. We have the demand and capacity to grow this number. We are in need of more technicians to meet that demand.
What is your parts ordering process?
This process outlines the procedure for placing an order with Toyota. This will apply to the Parts Counterperson.All parts orders for each day are due to Toyota by 5pm EST. There is an exception for overnight emergency orders, however. These orders need to be placed by 11am EST.
What is your policy on side work?
Employees are expected to devote their full attention and energy to their duties and responsibilities during working hours.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Our fearless leader and Dealer Principal, J. Davis (Dave) Illingworth was the Former Senior Vice President Chief Planning and Administrative Officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. In this position, Dave was responsible for Finance, Corporate Services, Business Planning, Human Resources, Information Systems, Strategic and Product Planning, Advanced Product Strategy, Telematics, Legal, University of Toyota, and Motorsports. Dave joined Toyota in 1980. He held management positions in sales, customer relations, and market representation, and was general manager of Denver and Cincinnati regions. Dave also was group vice-president and general manager of the Lexus Division. He was with Lexus from the division’s inception in January 1987 through 1992, and was instrumental in making Lexus an industry leader in customer satisfaction, sales, and quality. Most recently, Dave was senior vice-president and general manager for the Toyota Division from 1992 to 1997, overseeing sales and marketing. In recognition of his work, Dave was named Automotive News All-Star for 1997, was Automobile Magazine’s 1992 “Man of the Year” for his leadership of the new Lexus Division, and was one of the auto industry’s “Top 10 Newsmakers” by Automotive News. One of the vehicles overseen by Dave, the Toyota Camry, earned the title of America’s best-selling car in 1997. In 2010, Dave released God of Hope, giving readers first-person testimonies of the disciple Thomas, the prophet Moses, the apostle Paul, and the disciple John, God of Hope brings to life the energy, passion, and brilliance of God’s mysterious plan for the universe and humanity as it is unfolding in history. Godofhope.net was also launched to support the need to use the internet to bring people to Jesus in a non-threatening way. A graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, Illingworth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and was formerly a member of the Ohio University Foundation Board of Trustees.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Our goal is to provide our technicians with several options to obtain ASE accreditations and Toyota certifications within a reasonable timeframe. It is up to you on how quickly you progress, but we will support you by providing education and training opportunities that will focus on developing the skills necessary to advance your career as an automotive technician. We want to see you succeed, and as a technician at Toyota of Warsaw, you will not have to pay for any tuition costs to obtain your ASE and manufacturer certifications or for attending training classes.

Can you describe your performance review process?
Team members can expect an annual performance reviews the month of their anniversary date. All new hires can expect a 30 day, 90-day, and 6-month check-in and review from their start date.
What type of safety training is required?
All employees are expected to complete online safety, cyber security and harassment training within the first week of employment.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Experienced technicians are mentors to the local high school automotive interns assigned to our dealership, meeting a few times a week. During these sessions, interns will have the opportunity to shadow our technicians, gaining hands on experience and insights into their processes and acquiring the skills to perform various labor operations accurately and efficiently. New technicians joining the team will be paired with an experienced technician to learn the shop processes and technology used to enhance and improve the customer and technician experience.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
At Toyota of Warsaw our entire team understands that we are blessed to be able to live and work in Kosciusko County. We believe in making a positive contribution to the communities we serve and are honored to share the ways we have been able to give back. Our team has partnered with a variety of organizations dear to our hearts. Below are a few of the organizations we are proud to support. Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, C.A.S.A., Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams, JOE'S Kids, Toys for Tots, Warsaw Community Schools N.E.W Workshop (Nontraditional Employment for Women). We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you, our customers and employees, for making it possible for us to give back. In addition, to the organizations listed above, the team at Toyota of Warsaw is proud to support students from Warsaw Community High School and Grace College in their professional development. Our dealership has employed high school students, who have joined us through the Warsaw Community Schools Careers Center, and collegiate students, who have joined us as business and marketing interns since 2017.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We are currently in partnership with Warsaw Community Schools and their Automotive Pathways students. At present, we have junior and senior technician interns working alongside our experienced technicians. Toyota of Warsaw, in collaboration with Toyota, has joined forces with Warsaw Schools to introduce the Toyota Technician Education College/High School Support program. This initiative is crafted to complement the school's existing curriculum and assist students who aspire to pursue a career with Toyota in gaining a 'head start' in their certification training. Students who successfully complete the eLearning modules will qualify to become Toyota Maintenance Level Certified Technicians before graduating high school.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We will email a questionnaire asking basic questions regarding experience. Following this prescreening questionnaire, we conduct a phone interview to get to know the applicate better.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Our in-person interviews will cover technical knowledge as well as what processes and procedures the applicant has experience with.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We require a background check before hire.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No, we do not require a skill assessment. We do require documentation of any certifications or ASEs documents that are listed on the resume or application.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
We will follow up with all applicants within 48 business hours.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
If hired, applicants should receive an offer letter within two weeks of the first phone interview.

We know that your time is valuable and try to make our hiring process as seamless as possible by communicating with you every step of our process.
C Level Technician
Pay Range: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00/year
Production Bonuses are Paid Weekly: - Pay Range:$20.00 to $30.00 per hour or flat rate hour based on experience / ASE certification. - Production performance bonus, increasing by skill level certification. - Certain hour amount guaranteed weekly, increasing by skill level.
A Level Technician
Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00/year
Master Technician Rate and Production Bonuses are Paid Weekly: - Pay Range: $25.00 to $38.00 per flat rate hour based on experience / ASE certifications. - Production performance bonus, increasing by skill level certification. - Certain hour amount guaranteed weekly, increasing by skill level. - $12,000 signing bonus to be paid out once a month over one year ($1,000 per month) **Eligibility for signing bonus is determined based on experience and ASE certifications**
