Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The Service shop is heated, not air conditioned.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have a lateral support system in place which has 1 Group Leader and no more than 4 Technicians in one group.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We have two shifts available: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm or Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 5:30pm Tues.-Fri., 8:00am - 3:00pm Sat.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have an inventoried tool room that has all the GM required special tools. We also have a program in place for Technician owned laptop and MDI2.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Break room has refrigerator, microwave, and TV.
How many bays does your shop have?
There are 23 bays in the Service shop, with one bay dedicated per technician.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average 579 customer pay repair orders a month with 3.31 hours per repair order.
What is your parts ordering process?
The Technician uses the Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection through our DMS to build the estimate, from there the estimate is sent to the Parts department and the Service Advisor. Once the job is approved by the customer, the parts are delivered to the Technicians bay.
What is your policy on side work?
No side work is allowed. Every vehicle worked on must have a repair order before it is brought into the shop. Employee vehicle repairs are done at a discounted rate.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Along with the Group Leaders, we have a Shop Foreman in place to assist with Technician needs as well.
