Shop is heated in the winter and equipped with large fans for summer months.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Currently we have a service team of 7.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday thru Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Generally techs provide their own tools. We supply all Hyundai specialty tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Small break room, table, chairs, fridge, micro.

How many bays does your shop have?

10

How many repair orders do you average per month?

Approximately 600

What is your parts ordering process?

All parts are ordered through the parts department.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is allowed on a case by case basis. Manager has the right to refuse side work if current conditions don't allow for it.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Our store is a new facility. We opened in November of 2020.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Ongoing Hyundai training throughout employment with Rosen.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

A typical career path might look like this: Service Porter, Lube Tech, Mid-Tech, Journeyman. We also have Service Advisor positions where you would be working more one-on-one with customers, advising and selling tech services. These are commission based sales positions, with a base salary.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We review employees once per year.

What type of safety training is required?

1 online course.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We don't have a formal mentor program, however the more experienced techs mentor the younger techs on a daily basis and are always available for on the job training and questions.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We raise funds for Canines for Comfort, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising and grooming psychiatric service dogs to emotionally support veterans, children and other individuals suffering with traumatic syndromes. We also partner with Algonquin Child Safety Car, Hope on Wheels, Jesse White Golf Outing, Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss and the USO of Illinois.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We partner with local community colleges in order to recruit new techs right out of school.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We calculate a 15% growth in business over 5 years.

Face to face meeting with the department manager. Discussion includes background, certifications, career path, and getting to know the person.
