The Sedona location is the main facility for the company and is responsible for building the Jeeps for all of the company locations. We have a dedicated fabrication shop, Paint and Body shop along with the Service Center to maintain the vehicles. We have a large inventory of parts in stock to keep the technicians supplied and vehicles on the trail.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
The shop is open 6am - 8:30pm during the longest operating days during . Right now the closing shift is 10am - 7pm. This will change based on the sunset times and goes to 11:30am-8:30pm during the summer. Late shift will change based on operating hours and sunset times. Early shift is 6am to 3pm year round. 1 hour lunch break is provided.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Diagnostic tools/scanner; A/C equipment; specialty tools
Our Technicians have their own tool box with hand and power tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
There is a separate break area indoors to eat or just relax. Also we have a covered outside picnic table, BBQ and benches to sit outdoors when the weather is nice.

What is your parts ordering process?
We have a dedicated Parts Administrator in charge of ordering and stocking inventory.
What is your policy on side work?
No side work is permitted at the facility. Technicians can work on their own and family vehicles at the shop as long as it does not interfere with the shop work flow.

We are proud of the cleanliness of our shop and the teamwork within our department and company. We have an expectation that all employees remain professional and offer excellent customer service. We pay hourly to account for excellent quality standards and meeting all safety expectations.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We support all technicians to get ASE certificated. We reimburse test fees after passing tests. We provide study guides for the ASE tests.

The Fleet Manager will walk the candidate around our shop and fabrication areas. The HR and Fleet Manager will ask interview questions including skills based questions. The candidate has an opportunity to ask us questions.

We do require pre-employment background checks, drug screening and DOT physicals.

The 2024 shop Holiday party at the Cowboy club in Sedona was a blast! The food was amazing and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We ate way too much and had some good laughs.

Automotive Technician
The Pink Jeep Tours auto technicians diagnose, adjust, repair and perform preventive maintenance on all Pink Jeep vehicles including Jeeps, Trekkers, Shuttle, Vans, and Trucks. May repair virtually any system or component on the vehicle including the transmission system. Technicians also assist in the day to day operations of the Service Center and interface with tour customers, Guides, and the general public in assisting with rescue operations and repairs of the vehicle.
This position requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the company. Mistakes may not be easily correctable and can have serious consequences.
*This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive Position and we will not consider Registered Card Holders (RCH’s) for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates with supervisors, peers, and other company employees on a variety of issues in a positive and professional manner
Confer with Guides and other drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements
Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using equipment such as specialized testers, computerized diagnostic devices, or special tools
Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas
Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals, and experience
Review and complete work orders in a thorough, detailed and legible manner; discuss with Manager as needed
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups
Diagnose and repair brake system, replace wear items, machine brake drums and rotors
Performs tire repairs, mount and balance tires as needed
Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems
Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages
Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings
Diagnose and repair electrical systems such as ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels
Repair manual and automatic transmissions & transfer cases including electronic controlled units
Install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers
Must be able to operate vehicles including test driving in traffic and on “off road” trails
Maintain cleanliness of work area
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVD record
Minimum 3 years bumper-to-bumper experience in an independent shop or dealership
ASE certification(s) preferred
Welding/fabrication experience a plus
Able to operate vehicles including test driving in traffic and on “off road” trails
Experience and ability driving a manual transmission vehicle
