Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is temperature controlled, but not air conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

On average the team size is around 15 employees in the shop.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Service hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm, Friday 7:30am-5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm, closed on Sunday.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

When we hire an apprentice they are able to complete a program where all of their tools would be company issued until they hit benchmarks. Larger tools are provided for all employees to use.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Our breakroom has microwaves and a refrigerator available for use.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 21 bays in the shop.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average approximately 450 repair orders per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

Our parts department is located in the shop, you would go up to the parts counter to place an order of the parts you need.

What is your policy on side work?

We allow side work, but you would need manager approval prior to any side work being completed.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We have an apprenticeship program for entry level techs and additional training and certifications available to technicians.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We offer all internal employees the opportunity to apply for mid-level and management opportunities prior to posting positions externally.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are done after 90 days and on an annual basis.

What type of safety training is required?

We have a variety of safety training courses that are required. All courses are completed during working hours.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our techs and apprentices work side-by-side on vehicles.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We love supporting our local communities and try to get involved as often as we can. We host adopt-a-family events during the holidays and various donation drives throughout the year.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We partner with both local high schools and tech campus to encourage students to join the profession. We attend many events at local schools and offer for students to come onsite to tour the facility.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We have grown tremendously over the last five years and will continue to do so in the next five.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do have an application. It can be found at http://www.shoplynch.com/careers If you have a resume that you can upload it could take as little as two minutes to apply. If not, then it would take around ten minutes to apply.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we typically will call applicants and conduct a phone screen then we schedule interviews directly with the hiring managers.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

When you come for an in-person interview you should expect to answer questions about your work history, training, and job knowledge.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

All of our offers are contingent upon passing a background test and drug screen.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No, we don't typically perform any skills assessments.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

After an in-person interview, you would know within one or two days if you will be receiving an offer.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

We don't like to keep people waiting. We will reach out to you right away regarding next steps. Typically from application to hiring decision we would have an offer to you within the week.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/hour

Pay is flat rate, compensation is based on a combination of experience and certifications. We provide continuous training and a top notch benefits package as well as competitive wages! Production and other bonuses are also available.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00/hour

Pay is flat rate, compensation is based on a combination of experience and certifications. We provide continuous training and a top notch benefits package as well as competitive wages! Production and other bonuses are also available.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour

Hourly pay, compensation is based on a combination of experience and certifications. We provide continuous training and a top notch benefits package as well as competitive wages! Production and other bonuses are also available.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00/hour

Hourly pay, pay is based on experience. We offer countless opportunities for growth and training as well as a great benefit package and competitive wages.

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00/hour

We offer paid training and provide tools/toolboxes through our apprenticeship program on top of a competitive wage and great benefits!
