Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Shop is climate controlled by individual bay heater and personal thermostat.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
There is currently 8 technicians ranging in experience from lube technician to senior master technician. The service team also has a support staff of 4 ranging from service manager, advisor and porter.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Laramie Range Fords shop opens at 7:30 A.M. and Closes at 6:00 P.M.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Laramie Range Ford provides every specialty tool needed to complete all repairs. The shop also has a Hunter Road Force Wheel Balancer, 2 Alignment machines, 2 on car brake lathes and a stationary brake lathe.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Break room has a refrigerator , Television, tables, sink and microwave.
How many bays does your shop have?
Laramie Range Ford is equipped with 10 bays with lifts ranging from 10,000 pounds to 18,000 pounds and three flat bays.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Laramie Range Ford averages 1,000 Repair Orders a month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Laramie Range Ford uses a shop tool that allows technicians to order all of there parts from there laptop computer allowing you to maximize your time by not having to leave the bay.
What is your policy on side work?
Laramie Range Ford does not allow side work to be completed unless its on there personal vehicles.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes. We have partnered with Ford and there ASSET program to provide continued education and support. We also provide tool training through Hunter and McGee Companies on how to properly use the equipment.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
There are a number of opportunities for career growth at Laramie Range Ford. Its all based on Tenure and progress through Fords in person training.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We complete a performance review upon your first 90 days of employment and then annually going forward.
What type of safety training is required?
You will be provided with Safety training from our OSHA certified master mechanic.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have an apprentice program that if you qualify you will work under one of our Master Technicians for a prolonged period of time learning from the best technicians Ford has to offer.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We do a number of things from quarterly drive in movies, food drives, school supply drives, University of Wyoming Athletics Department, Jubilee Days. Visit our Face Book page for more details.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We work with LCCC a vocational school in Laramie along with Wyotech one of the biggest Automotive schools in the west.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
No, prefer in-person interviews
What do your in-person interviews entail?
A conversation. Our interview process is easy you interview with the department manager and the General Manager of the store. All it entails is a Conversation.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We do a driving record check to make sure they can be insured to drive vehicles off the lot.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No, skill assessment done through the interview process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Usually 24 hours unless we have an influx of applicants and then it will be communicated to you on when you should receive a phone call back.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
It depends on the number of applicants at the time and experience it could take minutes after your interview or be a few days.

Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00/hour

- Laramie Range Ford is now providing sick pay to ALL employees in accordance with the Colorado Health Families and Workplaces Act. All employees accumulate sick time at the rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours in a year. Paid sick leave may be used if an employee: (1) has a mental or physical illness, injury, or health condition that prevents them from working; (2) needs to get preventive medical care, or to get a medical diagnosis, care, or treatment, of any mental or physical illness, injury, or health condition; (3) needs to care for a family member who has a mental or physical illness, injury, or health condition, or who needs the sort of care listed in category (2); (4) the employee or the employee’s family member having been a victim of domestic abuse, sexual assault, or criminal harassment, and needing leave for related medical attention, mental health care or other counseling, victim services (including legal services), or relocation; or (5) due to a public health emergency, a public official having closed either (A) the employee’s place of business, or (B) the school or place of care of the employee’s child, requiring the employee needing to be absent from work to care for the child. Paid sick leave may be used in one-hour increments. Employees begin accruing sick time upon hire.

- Laramie Range Ford offers vacation pay as follows: 40 hours of paid vacation per year is offered after 12 consecutive months of employment. 80 hours of paid vacation per year is offered after 36 months of consecutive employment.
- Paid Holidays Offered
- Laramie Range Ford paid holiday policy: Eligible after 90 days of continuous employment. In instances where your scheduled shift falls on a holiday in which your department is closed, you will be compensated for one day of pay. In order to receive this pay, you must have worked all scheduled shifts the business day before and after.

- Eligible after 90 days of continuous employment.
- Life Insurance Offered
- After 90 days of continuous employment, all Laramie Range Ford employees are eligible to opt in to $10,000 of no cost life insurance. Additional coverage is also offered for purchase.
- Uniforms Offered
- Uniforms (pants, shirts and jackets), including upkeep are provided. Rubber or nitrile gloves are provided at no cost to our employees as well.
