Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
All of our shops, including express, main, and collision centers at both locations, are fully equipped with heating and air conditioning.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Shop Hours: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 6 PM NO Saturdays or Sundays! Shift hours are flexible with start times at 7 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide factory diagnostic scan tools including software, manufacturer-specific repair tools, tire machines, laptops for each technician, and specialty tools. Each technician supplies their toolbox.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Each location offers a dedicated technician break room, technician locker room, and technician-only bathroom, conveniently located within each shop
How many bays does your shop have?

How many repair orders do you average per month?

What is your parts ordering process?
Our shop uses Tekion's electronic parts ordering system to streamline operations and boost efficiency. Technicians request parts directly through the software, eliminating the need to visit the parts counter. The parts department receives the request electronically, and a parts employee delivers the part directly to the technician, eliminating the need to wait at the parts counter for parts. This system keeps departments connected and helps ensure quick and efficient service
What is your policy on side work?
We have a no side work policy.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Our certified technicians are provided with two racks, allowing them to turn more hours and increase productivity. Each technician also receives a company-supplied laptop to enhance efficiency on the job. Additionally, we offer paid factory training, including compensation for drive time, meals, and fuel for off-site training. In addition, they are provided with company uniforms, along with a convenient laundry service.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Our technicians participate in manufacturer training through Ford or Chevrolet, depending on the shop they work in, and are encouraged to achieve master certification levels. We cover the costs of both online and in-person training, including payment for offsite drive time, meals, and fuel.

We strongly encourage career advancement from within and support continuing education in technician fields, providing opportunities for growth and skill development.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Technicians are evaluated on performance, skill, and dependability.
What type of safety training is required?
We provide Ford and Chevrolet mandatory safety training as well as OSHA training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We provide on-the-job training, allowing younger technicians to learn from experienced team members in our collaborative shop. Our technicians possess diverse skill sets, enabling them to work on a wide range of makes and models.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Sponsor local community events annually.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Lake Auto Group partners with local technical colleges and high schools to provide on-the-job training and educational support, helping students gain valuable experience while exploring career opportunities in the automotive industry.

What do your in-person interviews entail?
Discuss training, work experience, repair and diagnostic skills, and career aspirations. Candidates are also provided an opportunity to ask questions about the position and company and a tour of the shops.

All applicants must pass a background and drug test.

A/B Level Technician
Pay Range: $25.00 - $45.00/hour
We pay flat rate and our certified technicians are assigned two racks to maximize their hours.

Lake Auto Group offers three choices of health plans that are designed to meet the varying needs of employees While the Anthem 3000 and Anthem 5000 plans are traditional plans, the Anthem 5000 HSA is a high-deductible health plan that enables you to use a health savings account (HSA) for qualified medical expenses. Lake Auto Group pays a large portion of the premium, with the employee paying the remainder of the premium through payroll deduction. The plan includes prescription drug coverage.

- Vacation Offered
- Employees are granted PTO (Paid Time Off) and will begin accumulating PTO from the date of hire. PTO accumulation varies depending on the department and hours.

- Lake Auto Group offers ST/LT Disability options through American Fidelity at the employees' expense. Premiums are paid through payroll deduction.
- Life Insurance Offered
- Lake Auto Group offers several customizable life insurance plans at the employees' expense through American Fidelity and Texas Life. Premiums are paid through payroll deduction.
- Uniforms Offered
- Uniforms and onsite laundry services are provided at a minimal charge. Upon hire, there is a $20 deduction per pay period for 12 pay periods, after which no further fees apply. If you separate from the company, the $240 will be refunded upon the return of the uniforms.

The vehicle purchase discount is available only to employees for their personal use. Proof of ownership may be required for personally owned vehicles.
