Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The main shop is both heated and air conditioned. The quick lane is not air conditioned but is heated.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Each team is 1-3 people.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Main shop hours are 8-5:30pm and our quick lane is 7:30-6.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We do have Ford special tools for certain jobs.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have a breakroom with tables, chairs, TV, refrigerator, a coffee machine, a sink, and a microwave.
How many bays does your shop have?
Our main shop has 16 bays, our quick lane has 9.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average about 1200 repair orders per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
When ordering parts, an estimate is given to the parts department, the parts are then ordered, and the advisor is notified when the parts arrive.
What is your policy on side work?
We do not permit side work.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We have a team environment with a strong culture and growth.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We are actively developing future foreman and other leadership. We offer time to take on additional training and offer assistance to obtain additional ASE certifications or assist with travel for training.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We offer many opportunities for training and career advancement. We always look to promote from within first.
Can you describe your performance review process?
- 30-Day New Hire Review: A check-in to ensure new team members are settling into their roles, understanding expectations, and receiving the support they need. - 90-Day New Hire Review: A more comprehensive review to evaluate early performance, celebrate progress, set goals, and identify areas for further development. - Annual Evaluations: A formal, in-depth review conducted annually to assess performance, recognize achievements, and establish clear short-term and long-term goals. In addition to these reviews, we maintain scorecards for key roles, including: Sales Specialists Automotive Technicians Service Advisors F&I Managers Sales Managers These scorecards track key performance metrics to provide clear insight into individual and team performance. Together, this process ensures we support every employee’s growth while driving company success.
What type of safety training is required?
We offer initial and monthly safety training topics.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have tech teams. When we bring on younger techs or apprentices, they are paired with a more experienced tech who will be their team lead. The tech will mentor them for as long as they need it.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We take advantage of many opportunities to get involved in our community. For example: For nurses' appreciation week, we did free oil changes for nurses. We did the same for teachers. We've offered free oil changes to community members who brought their children in to see Santa. Not to mention, we've been a part of a store effort for backpack drives and the and the angel tree program.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We've partnered with local high schools and colleges to work with their students to offer training to prepare them to enter the automotive field.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Phone interviews may be conducted with HR prior on in-person interviews.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
In person interviews are conducted with the direct supervisor or manager over the role. Sometimes additional managers are present that may be involved in the day-to-day work. Interviews are laid back. We don't follow a certain set of questions. It's just a conversation between a group of people in a similar career path.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Background checks are conducted for all offers of employment.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We do not conduct a skill assessment. We have faith in our applicants and employees that they have the skillset they say they do.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
On average, an in-person interview is scheduled within 24 hours of your phone interview. A final decision is made also normally within 24 hours of the in-person interview.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Applications are reviewed at minimum three times per week so you can realistically have a job offer in less than a week of submitting your application.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $25.00/hour
This may be hourly or flat rate depending on manager discretion.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $40.00/hour
