It is heated. Not cooled. At Holiday Automotive, we strive to create a comfortable and productive work environment for all our employees. Our shops are equipped with heating systems to keep you warm during the colder months.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
3 Service Advisors, 7 technicians, and 1 Service manager
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
First Shift: Runs from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This shift is ideal for early risers who prefer to get a jumpstart on their day and have their work completed by mid-afternoon. Second Shift: Runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This shift offers a bit of extra time in the morning, perfect for those who need a later start while still providing coverage until the end of the standard workday.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Our shop provides a full range of tools and equipment for all technicians, including general hand and power tools, advanced diagnostic equipment, and special service tools specific to different vehicle makes. We also offer specialized equipment such as wheel alignment machines, tire mounting and balancing machines, hydraulic lifts, and brake lathes, ensuring that technicians have everything needed for efficient and precise vehicle maintenance and repairs.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our break room is equipped with comfortable amenities, including a refrigerator, microwave, pizza oven, sink, tables and chairs, and a television, providing a relaxing space for technicians to enjoy their meals and downtime.
How many bays does your shop have?
Our shop features 10 bays, allowing us to efficiently service multiple vehicles simultaneously and minimize wait times for our customers.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average around 900 repair orders per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Most parts are in stock for immediate use, our internal parts team handles special parts orders to help get the job done as quickly as possible.
What is your policy on side work?
Yes. Immediate family only.

Less experienced techs have the opportunity to learn through work shadowing and by working directly with lead technicians. This hands-on mentorship allows them to gain practical experience, develop their skills, and receive guidance from more experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Holiday Automotive is deeply involved in the local community through various initiatives, including sponsoring youth sports, supporting local education, and participating in community events like Walleye Weekend. They contribute by providing donations, sponsoring events, and offering no-pressure test drives, with proceeds often benefiting local clubs and organizations. Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes, we actively engage with local high schools and tech schools to encourage students to enter the automotive profession. We have an on-site development team, including a retired technical school teacher, who works with high school juniors and seniors. These students are given the opportunity to train at a technical school, and those who excel are offered a mentorship with a lead technician at our shop, providing them with hands-on experience and guidance in their career path.

First, you'll have an interview with our service manager and human resources. Next, you'll meet with our service manager, parts manager, and lead technician. Finally, you'll have an interview with our chief operations officer and service manager.

D Technician - Quick Lube
Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00/hour
As a D Technician in our Quick Lube department, you’ll be responsible for performing basic maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections. You’ll work closely with experienced technicians and have opportunities for further training and career advancement within our team. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service. This role is ideal for those starting their career in automotive maintenance and looking to grow in a supportive environment.
C Technician
Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00/hour
