Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Heated? Of course- with a state of the art waste oil furnace as well as a natural gas furnace for back up. A/C - not yet Fans for summer time- absolutely *when its hot, we keep a cooler full of ice cold Gatorades and water in the shop so its easy to stay hydrated

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We operate with a team of approximately a dozen people.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Technicians are expected to provide their own hand tools and the shop provides all the major equipment, Roadforce tire balancer, BeeLine alignment machine, Digital torque wrenches, diagnostic equipment, ect

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a beautiful, newly-remodeled climate controlled breakroom with equipped with a full kitchen and plenty of coffee!!

How many bays does your shop have?

9

How many repair orders do you average per month?

125-175

What is your parts ordering process?

We utilize FULLBAY shop management software which allows the technicians to enter a parts request on the service order directly from their bay. We have a full time parts department that takes it from there and handles all parts requests, cores, and returns.

What is your policy on side work?

What you do on your own is up to you as long as it doesn't overlap or interfere with the company.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We host periodic in-house training events. We also participate in OEM and Vendor supplied training events when we can. As need and opportunity presents itself, we also send technicians to specialized classes.

Performance is reviewed on a as-needed basis and pay increases given accordingly.

What type of safety training is required?

Periodic safety meetings are hosted in house.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Younger techs are invited to shadow experienced techs and ask lots of questions. We function as a team and are always happy to help a younger tech if they find themselves in a spot that they feel over-their head.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We are a small town community where 'everyone knows everyone'. We strive to be open and transparent because more then likely, you will meet a customer in the aisle at the grocery store and we are always looking for ways to be a community supporter.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

we dont have any programs in place yet

A short phone visit is generally conducted prior to an interview.

Meeting with the hiring manager, a site tour, and a friendly discussion about the companies current operations, future plans, the potential employees employment history and their goals.

Service Technicians Pay Range: $20.00 - $35.00/hour
