What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
8:00am-4:30pm (Monday-Friday) NO SATURDAY ROTATION!!!!
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All diagnostic tools, manufacture tools, and major equipment. Technicians will have to provide their own hand tools
What type of break room facility is provided?
Currently, we are under construction but a break room will be coming
How many bays does your shop have?
18 in the Chrysler shop 9 in the Kia shop
How many repair orders do you average per month?
1,650
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts can be ordered by either the technician or service advisors. Sometimes it's a combination depending and what's getting ordered and what the repair entails
What is your policy on side work?
Tech must ask for permission, but side work is allowed on their own personal and family vehicles. They can also work on other vehicles with permission
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We have an employee-friendly atmosphere. One thing we like to do for our staff is company grills outs for the Holidays
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We help technicians obtain their New York state inspectors license, we also provide all manufacture training at our training center. This is all at the cost of our dealership including the tech's gas and time during the training
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Opportunities are endless for the right employee. We have career paths to become a Service Advisor, in our Parts Department, and even Sales if that's something they are interested in
Can you describe your performance review process?
Review is done annually. Discussion includes what they are doing well, what they may need work on, goals for the upcoming year, and monetary improvement
What type of safety training is required?
We're currently working on implementing a safety training program
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Experienced technicians are partnered up with more junior techs. They will be available to answer questions and help through repairs when time permits
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We participate in local car shows, and trade shows
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We do partner up with a local high school to provide opportunities for some of their students
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, this is a basic conversation to set up a time for our in-person interview
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interview is done by our manager. Conversation includes the applicant's training, experience, skills set, tools, how their license is, and career goals

Not currently
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Indeed has a limited skills test, we directly do not. Assessment is done through the interview process
