Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Yes, the shop is heated.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Five technicians, one lube tech, three front of house staff, two quality control and maintenance staff members.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All the scanners, tire machines, alignment machine, etc.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We a coffee maker and microwave, but our space is limited at this time.

What is your parts ordering process?
Parts are ordered through the front staff. Parts will be received as soon as possible for technicians to complete repairs
What is your policy on side work?
They can work on their own vehicle after hours, if arranged ahead of time.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Classes and videos are available. When technicians attend the classes, they will be paid for by the shop
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We encourage adding more certifications and taking classes to stay on top of the game. Our pay scale is based on a 10 week average, clearly laid out so you know what to expect.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We have weekly meetings to address areas needed for improvement and provide encouragement for jobs well done.
What type of safety training is required?
All safety training is done at the shop.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have a couple of young men coming after school to learn from our technicians. They are available to answer questions and help with repairs
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Yes, we have sponsored local sports teams and various charities when the opportunity arises.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Sometimes, as the opportunity presents itself.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, but we would rather bring people in for an in-person interview.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
A walk through our facility, meet some of the staff, expectations laid out, and the pay plan gone over. We also like to get to know them as a person, and their career goals
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We do perform background checks and drug screening.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
A working interview is always preferred.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Usually by the next business day.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Approximately one week.
A Level Technician
Pay Range: $32.00 - $45.00/hour
Flat-rate system with a bonus averaged out over 10 weeks
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $30.00 - $38.00/year
Flat-rate system with a bonus averaged out over 10 weeks
