24- Techs 8- Service Advisors 3-Service Managers

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:00am-3:30pm for Journey 8:00am-4:30pm for all other classifications

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We supply shop MDI's, we also have a program where techs pay half for MDI's, we provide scanners, techs get their own laptop

What type of break room facility is provided?

2 fridges, 2 microwaves, table, chairs, coffee maker, vending machine, soda machine

1,500

What is your parts ordering process?

Tech will submit the recommendation for the parts, the Service Advisor will approve it, and the parts counter will order the parts. Parts will be received as soon as possible for technicians to complete repairs

What is your policy on side work?

Techs can work on their own vehicles after their shift

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

GM has different programs set up that we encourage them to stay up on. We also encourage our techs to seek additional training that we pay for the time off and the training itself

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We prefer our techs to grow within our company. Motivated employees can move from lube techs to journeymen. We provide apprentice programs internally to help set techs on their career path to achieve all of their career goals

Can you describe your performance review process?

We provide annual reviews to see where the tech is at numbers wise, and to see if there's additional training we can help with

What type of safety training is required?

When techs are hired they run through basic safety training

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have 5 Journeyman technicians who mentor our inexperienced techs. They will be available to answer questions and help through repairs when time permits

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We sponsor local grade schools, parishes, kids with cancer programs, local donations, and many more charities and events....

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We attend local career days

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We prefer in-person interviews

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In-person interviews are conducted by our Service Director and our Fixed Ops Director. Discussion includes the type of worker we're looking for, the tech's experience and skill set, what their career path might be, likes and dislikes, pay, and the tech's tool collection

We perform background checks and drug screens

Skill assessment is done through the interview process, and through shadowing on the job during the first week or two

Within three days, as soon as on the spot

Entry Level Technician Pay Range: $14.50 - $16.50/hour

We're a union-based shop, but we bonus the positions to more of a flat-rate position

B Level Technician Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00/hour

We're a union-based shop, but we bonus the positions to more of a flat-rate position

Journeyman Technician Pay Range: $33.00 - $39.00/hour

We're a union-based shop, but we bonus the positions to more of a flat-rate position, plus production bonus opportunities
