What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Service hours of operation Mon-Fri 6:30am - 7:00pm Sat 7:00am- 3:00pm Sun Closed (Shift will vary and be discussed during the interview process)
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Standard tools available if not they can be ordered if approved.
What type of break room facility is provided?
The break room has TV, 2 microwaves, a Fridge, a Vending machine, and a water cooler. Free Starbucks coffee machine.
How many bays does your shop have?
41 Total Bays, consisting of 2 Post, Drive-on, and inground (3 heavy duty included).
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Average for 2023, 2300 per month
What is your parts ordering process?
(Customer pay) Tech will Xtime request parts, and the parts dept will fill in the part numbers and mark whether the part is in stock. Depending on if it can be picked up today, or the approximate time to receive an ordered part. The service writer gets the approval, sends the parts the thumbs up, and pulls the parts that are in stock. (Warranty Job) Tech goes to the parts counter to inquire if we have the parts. Parts will either be ordered or obtain the parts needed.

No side work allowed
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Bonus shop on the premise that offers 8 more tech bays as additional room.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer for young technicians Union 701 training, as well as General Motors mandatory training with cash payouts for trained technicians. We offer ASE testing which is paid for.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We offer the opportunity for advancement through classifications spelled out by the Union. Also, opportunity to advance in management roles if situations arise.
Can you describe your performance review process?
As younger technicians, they are evaluated on performance, skill, and dependability. Then would advance into an apprentice role which they would be evaluated on a semiannual basis for advancement.
What type of safety training is required?
We provide GM mandatory safety training as well as complete safety training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our facility is a welcome environment for tech of any skill level. All of our technicians work together to create the best possible experience for our quests. Apprentice Technicians work daily with Journeyman to advance their skill levels.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Terry D'Arcy is a recognized figure through his engagement in community service, which has resulted in receiving numerous awards and recognitions for volunteer efforts.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Our dealership partners with the automotive programs in the local high schools and colleges. We regularly attend local job fairs to bring attention to our dealership.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?
Isolated training room available for techs, all of our facilities are growing and showing great advancement. The need for new technicians is a must for the future.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
A phone screen call is done to discuss details of the position open and touch a little of the job history.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
In-person interviews will meet with the Service Manager(s), a tour of the shop, a work history discussion, and on spot hiring if applicable.

Driving records are necessary for our location(s).

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Rejection or offers can be immediately or follow up to 3 days max.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Job offer to start date can be as soon as 1-2 days unless applicant needs to give 2 weeks notice from the previous employer.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?
Onboarding is done electronically via email link, and typically takes 7-10 minutes.
Lube Tech
Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00/hour
Every position is a union rate dictated by the CBA.
Service Advisor
Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $65,000.00/year
