Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The shop is equipped with heaters. It is not air conditioned but we do have 4 large industrial ceiling fans to help cool the shop.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We currently have 13 Main Shop Technicians, 7 express technicians, 1 shop foreman, 6 service advisors, 3 back counter parts people
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Service hours are M-F 7a-6p and Saturday 7a-4p. Technicians usually work 8a-5p with a rotating Saturday schedule
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have all special tools needed to perform repairs as well as tire machines, an alignment rack, jacks, hoists etc. We do provide loaner tools to entry-level lube techs.
What type of break room facility is provided?
The breakroom is climate controlled located in the shop, equipped with a sink, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker
How many bays does your shop have?
36 total lifts, with a mix of lifts for heavy duty vehicles and light duty. 1 mobile heavy duty lift, 1 drive on 4 post lift, and 2 scissor drive on lifts
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Entire department usually averages around 1600 repair orders per month
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts ordering is done through CDK Smartt, once a repair is approved parts gets a notification as well as the technician. Parts ordering cutoff is 3:45pm to be able to get next day if applicable.
What is your policy on side work?
Employees can work on their own vehicles but after their shift is complete. Every vehicle has to have a open repair order on it to be able to be in the shop.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We have a great team building culture in our shop with years of experience. Our shop foreman is very involved and is in the shop daily to help with questions, diagnosis and repairs. Our mindset is very team centric, when you succeed we all succeed!
