You would be working with 1 service writer and 1 or 2 other technicians

7:30am-5:00pm Monday thru Friday

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have many specialty tools and scanners for your use

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a fridge, microwave, table, couch, and a coffee maker

How many bays does your shop have?

3 bays, 1 of them is an alignment rack

How many repair orders do you average per month?

160

What is your parts ordering process?

Our service writer is responsible for ordering all parts to repair a vehicle

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is allowed for household family members on weekends once given a key to the building.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Vehicles are changing all the time and we are always learning something new, we all learn and grow together.

The harder you work and the faster you get has more opportunities to make more money.

Go over the last year and see if there has been growth and willingness to learn.

What type of safety training is required?

Must have steel toed shoes, wearing the correct eye wear when grinding or welding. Just taking precautions when needed.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Techs help each other with questions and learn and grow with one another with computers and visual help from one another.

No application - we accept a resume.

Yes

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We show them around the shop and ask questions about previous work history, knowledge, and get to know the person. I prefer to meet everyone face to face to get a true feel for who they are.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

No

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Yes, usually running a 2 week on hands training to see if it is a good match to see if everything goes well.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Up to one week.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Usually 1 to 2 weeks

A Level Technician Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00/year ($36.06 - $48.08/hr)

A level Technicians are paid flat rate

B Level Technician Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00/year ($21.63 - $28.85/hr)

B level Technicians can be paid a monthly salary or flat rate depending on skill level and speed

Top Shop Challenge: Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer. Does your shop do anything special either for Memorial Day or in general during the summer?

The workers here at Campus Repair love the summer time. Means time to go fishing, hunting, four wheeling and camping with the family and just get out and enjoy life.

My name is Billie, I am 38 yrs and I am currently the office manager and service writer for the company. This July I will have been here for 4 yrs now. I have come along way since I had started not really knowing a whole lot other then working on my own cars.
