Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Yes, we have an newly renovated shop that is heated and air conditioned
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
You will be assigned to a team with no more than 4 technicians per team.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
The shop hours are Monday through Saturday Monday - Friday 7:30am till 4:30pm Saturday 8:00am till 4:00pm
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
The shop offers all the Audi required special service tools. Each individual technician is responsible for his own tools. We have built in boxes for each individual work bay.
What type of break room facility is provided?
There are 2 break rooms available for use. One on the lower level and One in the upper level of the building. Both rooms have refrigerators, microwave ovens and tv's.
How many bays does your shop have?
19 bays plus a dedicated alignment bay
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average 985 RO's per month (based off of the first 3 months of 2025)
What is your parts ordering process?
Our parts ordering process is done through the DMS using Reynolds & Reynolds Advanced Service. Technicians don't need to leave the bays. They build their estimate based off of an MPI sheet & walk around video, that is then transfer to parts. Where it is checked and availability is noted, it is then sent on to the service advisor who contacts the customer. Once approved the technician and parts department are notified. Parts then pulls the on hand parts and orders the parts not in stock.
What is your policy on side work?
Side work is to be discussed with the service manager.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We do offer continuous learning for all of our technicians. Whether it be continuous learning to maintain your current technician level, to achieve the next level or if you're new to the brand, we utilize the Audi AEP training.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We are all about promoting from within. We have technicians that started off as valets. We have a service advisor who worked his way up to become one of the top service advisor. As well as a former technician now a service manager. If you have the desire to work hard and learn we a place for you here at Sloane.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Performance reviews are done on annually unless deemed necessary by the shop foreman or service manager
What type of safety training is required?
We follow guidelines through KPA to be OSHA compliant
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Younger apprentice tech are placed alongside one of our master technicians and taught the proper techniques of working on the complex systems of Audi.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We have frequent cars & coffee events
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Our Service Manager is a member of the advisory board for the Upper Bucks County Tech School.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, once your information is received it is forwarded on to our Service Manager who will reach out and conduct a phone interview. At that time you will be invited in to fill out a formal application and meet in person.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Face to face communication. Looking to see what the applicants goals are and how we can help them achieve them.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Prior to in person interview you will need to take a Predictive Index test. If we offer you a position you will need pass a background check, drivers licence check and drug screening.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We do not perform a skills test prior to employment.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Offer can be made the same day as your interview. Most times you will hear back from the Service Manager within a few days
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Approximately 2 weeks
