Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Yes to both — we use radiant tube heaters for heat and have reliable central air conditioning.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
You’d be part of a team of 10 technicians.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (typical tech shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM) Saturday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide all Audi specialty tools and equipment needed for the job.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our break room includes a refrigerator, vending machines, a computer, and a microwave.
How many bays does your shop have?
9 lifts 1 open bay 1 in-ground alignment bay
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Approximately 500 repair orders.
What is your parts ordering process?
We use Xtime for creating digital estimates and placing parts requests.
What is your policy on side work?
Side work is not allowed. However, working on personal vehicles after hours is permitted.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes — we offer in-shop training, manufacturer-led virtual courses, and in-person instructor-led training through the manufacturer.

Can you describe your performance review process?
We conduct quarterly performance reviews with our team members.
What type of safety training is required?
We follow OSHA standards and also provide online safety training through our employer’s virtual platform.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Absolutely — new technicians are typically paired with experienced techs or the shop foreman for hands-on mentorship.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We’re proud to be the lead sponsor for the Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama, among other local initiatives.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Not at this time
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, we conduct a phone screening prior to scheduling in-person interviews.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interviews typically last 20–30 minutes and include industry-specific questions, a review of career history, goals, and general conversation. Interviews are usually conducted by the Service Director and Foreman.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Yes, we conduct a background check, driving record review, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We do not require a formal or hands-on skill assessment.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Applicants can expect to hear back within two weeks.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
The full process typically takes up to three weeks.
