Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our shop is fully air-conditioned, which makes a huge difference during the Florida heat. No need for heaters here—and you can go ahead and toss those snow shovels! We keep the workspace comfortable year-round so you can stay focused and productive.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have four main technicians and a used car tech, each main tech has an apprentice working under them. This structure supports strong mentorship and collaboration. This setup is specifically designed to benefit master-level and above technicians, offering leadership opportunities and a well-supported environment to excel in.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Our shop is open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays, with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We stagger shifts so most team members work a standard 8-hour day, unless they choose to come in early or stay late. Saturday shifts currently rotate every five weeks, helping maintain a healthy work-life balance while still offering flexibility.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all brand-specific special tools and equipment required for the job. In addition, we supply gloves and protective gear to ensure safety and comfort while working. Our goal is to make sure every technician has what they need to perform at their best. We have multiple alignment and tire machines along with a dedicated EV repair room.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have an air-conditioned break room specifically for technicians. It’s equipped with multiple seats and tables, a microwave, refrigerator, and a television—giving you a comfortable place to relax during breaks.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have nine bays in our main shop and three in our secondary.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We are currently averaging around 400 repair orders monthly.

What is your parts ordering process?

Our parts ordering is done through an integrated computer system, making it easy for technicians to request what they need directly from their workstations. We receive daily stock orders automatically, ensuring that common and fast-moving parts are regularly replenished. On occasion, if a part is urgently needed and not in stock, we’ll make a quick run to the local parts depot—thankfully, we’re close enough to do that without causing delays.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is not permitted; however, technicians are allowed to use the facility to work on their own vehicles—provided it’s during their off time (before or after their shift, or on their scheduled Saturday off) and there is no pending shop work that needs attention. We support our team taking care of their own vehicles, as long as it doesn’t interfere with daily operations.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We foster a team-oriented, supportive environment where everyone looks out for each other. We like to keep morale high with occasional team lunches—our General Manager even cooks for the crew from time to time! We also plan off-site events like bowling nights to relax, have fun, and build camaraderie outside of work.
