Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Yes, the shop is climate controlled. In the summer the shop is the coldest room in the building.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have a Fixed Operation Director, Service Manager, Shop Foreman, sixteen Technicians, five Service Advisors, Dispatcher/Booker, three Parts Counter People, and three Appointment Coordinators.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Monday-Friday 7:30AM to 5pm with an hour lunch. Saturday 9am-4pm with a provided lunch. Technicians will typically only work one Saturday a month. Closed on Sundays
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have nine scan tools, all required Audi special tools, Snap on scanner, and many other specialty tools. We also provide built in tool boxes equipped with locking roll carts and ample work space utilizing twin post in ground lifts. We provide a laptop and device for performing video multipoint inspections.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Service has there own break room. Five tables, two microwaves, two toaster ovens, large fridge, vending machines, and a large flat screen TV.
How many bays does your shop have?
19 including one in ground Hunter alignment machine.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
About 1,000.
What is your parts ordering process?
Electronic RO or over the parts counter.
What is your policy on side work?
Side work can be done between 5pm until 6pm and Saturdays 9am to 4pm with an opened repair order for insurance purposes with manager approval.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Our Forman is a salary Audi Master Guild Technician. He provides assistance in diagnosing vehicles through Audi approved escalation processes. He helps develop technicians form their own proven diagnostic process to make them better.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Absolutely. If your wanting to expand your certification or get a jump start we are more than willing to do what is necessary. New to the Audi brand? If you show the skill and motivation we will gladly enroll you in Audi Education Partnership (AEP).
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
AEP in short is an 18 month program that when completed you will be an expert level Audi Technician. Important to note this is fully funded. There are certain criteria's so inquire within.
Can you describe your performance review process?
There is a formal review after 90 days. In addition we provide practical exam raises by our Foreman based on your skill level.
What type of safety training is required?
General and high voltage.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our Master Guild Shop Forman will help with more in-depth diagnostics. Master Techs and Service Manager are more than happy help as well.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Coat and toy drives. Cars and Coffee. Local car shows.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes, we work with both ATC and UTI.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?
We are looking for driven career oriented people that are looking to be challenged. The processes we have in place are there to provide a life long position in the industry at one of the most successful Audi Dealers in the area.

No. Would prefer to do interviews in person

General conversation, work history, hobbies, shop tour, and answering any questions you may have
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We do a driver's license check, background check, and drug test
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No. Assessment is done through the interview process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
This depends on the background and driver's license checks typically within 7-10 days.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
We typically have time to interview within a day. We have hired on the spot pending the back round and drug tests. We feel that the applicant knows how these checks go and this gives the applicant time to give two weeks notice at current place of employment if necessary.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00/hour
-Rate ranges from part time and full time. -Expectations come with shop cleaning duties and assisting Shop Foreman.
Line Technician
Pay Range: $23.00 - $40.00/hour
-Based on flat rate hours. -Based on Audi Certification/Qualification Levels. -Based on Overall Experience and Certifications. -Based on Practical Examinations (based on in store testing performed by Shop Foreman to determine skill level).
