Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Yes, the shop is climate controlled. In the summer the shop is the coldest room in the building.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have a Fixed Operation Director, Service Manager, Shop Foreman, sixteen Technicians, five Service Advisors, Dispatcher/Booker, three Parts Counter People, and three Appointment Coordinators.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday-Friday 7:30AM to 5pm with an hour lunch. Saturday 9am-4pm with a provided lunch. Technicians will typically only work one Saturday a month. Closed on Sundays

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have nine scan tools, all required Audi special tools, Snap on scanner, and many other specialty tools. We also provide built in tool boxes equipped with locking roll carts and ample work space utilizing twin post in ground lifts.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Service has there own break room. Five tables, two microwaves, two toaster ovens, large fridge, vending machines, and a large flat screen TV.

How many bays does your shop have?

19 including one in ground Hunter alignment machine.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

About 1,000.

What is your parts ordering process?

Electronic RO or over the parts counter.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work can be done Thursdays after 5pm until 7pm and Saturdays 9am to 4pm. If additional days are needed we are flexible you will just need an RO.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Our Forman is a non flat rate Audi Master Guild Technician. He will take on some more time consuming diagnostics and repairs but a good portion of his day is providing assistance to other Techs. The Service Manager of 10 years was also an Audi Master Guild Technician.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Absolutely. If your wanting to expand your certification or get a jump start we are more than willing to do what is necessary. New to the Audi brand? If you show the skill and motivation we will gladly enroll you in Audi Education Partnership (AEP).

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

AEP in short is an 18 month program that when completed you will be an expert level Audi Technician. Important to note this is fully funded. There are certain criteria's so inquire within.

After your first 90 days.

What type of safety training is required?

General and high voltage.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our Master Guild Tech/ Shop Forman will help with more in-depth diagnostics. Master Techs and Service Manager are more than happy help as well.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Coat and toy drives. Cars and Coffee. Local car shows.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes, we work with both ATC and UTI.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

No. Would prefer to do interviews in person

What do your in-person interviews entail?

General conversation, work history, hobbies, shop tour, and answering any questions you may have

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do a driver's license check, background check, and drug test

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No. Assessment is done through the interview process

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Most of the time three days. This depends on the background and driver's license checks

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

We typically have time to interview within a day. So about four days

B Level Technician Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $125,000.00/year

Based on flat rate production

C Level Technician Pay Range: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00/year

Based on flat rate

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $25,000.00 - $48,000.00/year

Hourly

A Level Technician Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00/year ($48.08 - $76.92/hr)

Can be both flat rate and incentive based.
