We have a 12 bay shop with all equipment needed
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We currently have (4) diesel technicians.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Our shop hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We do have a rotational Saturday schedule on an "as-needed basis.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All diagnostic laptop and scanners, 1" and higher impacts guns and sockets, all other various specialty tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have an air conditioned break area for all employees.
How many bays does your shop have?
We have a 12 bay shop.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
110
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts request from is submitted to Parts Department. The Parts Department orders the parts and stages for the technician. Parts are labeled with the Customer Name, Date and Repair Order number.
What is your policy on side work?
All side work must be authorized by Management
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
Good work environment with a family type atmosphere, drama free.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We encourage continuing education and cover the costs involved in further education and certifications.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
The advancement for a diesel technician would be a management role as a Shop Foreman. If that's something a tech is interested in, we can help get the right employee there
Can you describe your performance review process?
1st Year, 90 day, 180 day and 360 day review. Annual review schedule there after
What type of safety training is required?
In house safety training will be given upon employment
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Currently, we do not have any apprenticeship opportunities at this time. Some of our more experienced technicians will be available to help answer questions when needed
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Local community is very important to us. We support it by doing business with them and also various charitable donations.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Currently we do not, however it is in our immediate future plans
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, light screen to guage the interest level of the candidate
What do your in-person interviews entail?
10-minute prequalification call for in-person interview to be scheduled. In-person interview will include discussion about the candidate's background, skill set, future goals, and getting to know them as a person

Diesel Technician
Pay Range: $25.00 - $50.00/hour
Technician rate based on Experience, Certifications and level of Expertise.
