What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) WEEKENDS OFF!!!!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Specialty tools are provided, along with some basic tools. Techs are expected to the majority of their hand tools

What type of break room facility is provided?

We provide an area shared with the parts room. Nice area to sit and enjoy your lunch

How many bays does your shop have?

10 lift bays 2 flat bays 6, 10,000 pound two post lifts 1, 18,000 pound two post lift 1, 18,000 four post lift, this has the alignment machine 1,12,000 pound two post lift

How many repair orders do you average per month?

139

What is your parts ordering process?

The service advisor or service manager orders parts. Parts will be received as soon as possible to complete repairs

Discounted rate for employees and family on parts

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Reimbursement for ASE certifications, past certifications will go hand-in-hand with upping the techs salary. We also provide parts and manufacturer training paid for by the shop

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Growth in our shop comes through the training we provide. Techs can increase their skill set and salary through trainings

Can you describe your performance review process?

Quarterly reviews done by the Service Manager. Discussion includes whether the employee is hitting the marks on the job description, proficiency, attendance

What type of safety training is required?

No formal safety training

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Not currently, our crew is pretty young at the moment

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Free customer vehicle evaluations, donations to the local Boys and Girls club, Harley ride donations, and other local events

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We helped provide the school with different sporting equipment so everyone could participate

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Depends if the candidate is further away. We discuss if the candidate fits the mold of our team

What do your in-person interviews entail?

The Service Manager conducts the interview. Discussion includes experience, past jobs, what they like and dislike, tool collection, attendance, job description, and compensation plan. The interview ends with us answer all of their questions, and a shop tour

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Drug screens for insurance purposes

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Skill assessment done through the interview process

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

After the second interview, which includes additional questions or anything we overlooked, within a couple of days

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

4-6 days, no longer than a week

Service Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $45.00/hour ($0.01 - $0.02/hr)

Based on ASE certifications, for every 2 ASE's you get an extra percentage, or a percentage of what you produce, whatever's greater
