Background checks and driving records are run for insurance purposes if the candidate will be applying for a position in which they will be driving a company vehicle. Drug screens are random and upon any accident.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Yes, a mobile climate system component assessment with a multiple choice gauge reading test to determine the level of knowledge and experience each applicant holds within the mobile HVAC industry will be expected upon interview. This assessment does not necessarily determine employment. On-the-job training in the industry will be provided to the candidate with the most suitable character and trainability.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
No more than three business days if multiple interviews are scheduled with qualified candidates so that a fair assessment can be made.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Application and resume submission will be followed by an interview, and hiring decisions will be made based on experience, ability, character, and personality. The company will also consider whether the candidate is a good fit, factoring in work schedule, driving record, and seasonality. The applicant is considered for the position and, if not hired upon interview, will be called and notified of their employment status within three business days, expecting the new hire to place a two-week notice to any current employer. The new-hire can begin employment with Adams Mobile Air the next business day or at a time determined by the candidate and hiring manager after the job offer has been made.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?
At times, we have considered a short-term contract labor appointment to evaluate a candidate so that they/we may get a better idea of the job expectations and experience level to determine the designation of employment. Ask us about this at the time of the interview to see if we are your right fit before you quit! NOTE: We ask that each candidate please give a two-week notice before leaving their current employer as we would ask the same in turn.
