Our shop is state of art with 6 air coolers/heaters and heated floors for each bay.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have 10 Mechanics, ranging from Fleet I to Master, 3 Small Equipment Techs, 2 Parts Specialist, 1 Support Specialist, and 1 Manager
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Shop hours are 5am to 5:30pm, with 2 shifts; 5am to 1:30pm and 9am to 5:30pm.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have a wide variety of specialty tools
What type of break room facility is provided?
Fleet has a full-service break room; 16 capacity (4 tables), refrigerator, 2 microwaves, toaster oven, dishwasher, toaster, sink, and cabinets.
How many bays does your shop have?
16 Bays
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average 60 work orders per month
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts ordering is processed through our part department specialist
What is your policy on side work?
Not allowed
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We have drive-thru bays for small or quick fixes and a wash bay drive-thru.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, each tech is allotted a training budget annually

We offer a career ladder for both our fleet mechanics and small equipment: Fleet - Fleet I, Fleet II, Master and Lead Sm. Eq. - Eq. Service Tech, Master Service Tech, and Lead
Can you describe your performance review process?
Probationary Employee Timeline Three evaluations: 1. 1st Probation (conducted on or about the 90th calendar day from the date of hire) 2. 2nd Probation (conducted on or before 160 calendar days from date of hire – between 5-5½ months) 3. Annual evaluation (conducted on or before May 1 of each year) Regular Employee Timeline • One time annually (on or before May 1 for 9, 10, 11-month employees of each year). • An annual pre-evaluation conference must take place. (Pre-Evaluation Form) • Supervisor and employee may agree to waive evaluation; if evaluation is Satisfactory or above. • Evaluation can only be waived for three years; however, a pre-evaluation conference must take place annually. Regular Employee Who Assumes a Different Position Timeline Two evaluations: 1. A pre-evaluation conference (Pre-Evaluation Form) must take place 30-60 days prior to the evaluation. 2. 90 days in new position. 3. Annual evaluation after one year in a new job.

Leads for each will schedule time with techs and develop a training log.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We inform our employees of volunteer and community work throughout the year.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We a have an apprenticeship program

We have a committee of at least 4, each asks questions and is allowed to do any follow-up questioning at the end and allow the interviewee time for questions.

Yes, the Lead will have them do a walk-through and ask questions like identifying parts or defects

Pay Range: $23.25 - $34.51/hour
Starting maximum is Step 8, $28.66, hourly paid position based on technician background, certifications, and skill set
Fleet II Mecanic
Pay Range: $25.69 - $38.12/hour
Starting maximum, Step 8, $31.67
Master Mechanic
Pay Range: $29.69 - $44.07/hour
Starting maximum, Step 8, $36.61
Apprentice Fleet Mechanic
Pay Range: $21.88 - $32.47/hour

- Kaiser High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) - Group #00271 Member pays deductible and co-insurance for all services until out-of-pocket maximums have been met, with the exception of the annual wellness exam which covered at 100% by Kaiser.* The HDHP is HSA eligible and Adams 12 Five Star Schools contributes to those participating in the HDHP Kaiser Deductible HMO Plan (DHMO) - Group #00271 Member pays copays for pharmacy and office visits; and deductible & coinsurance for other services until out-of-pocket maximums have been met. The annual wellness exam is covered at 100% by Kaiser.* This plan is not HSA eligible.

- Delta Dental EPO Plan - Group #1636 Member pays copays for all services received in-network – there is no coverage available out-of-network. Select the Delta Dental + Premier Network of Dentist to find participating providers in this plan.
- Vision Insurance Offered
- Eye Med Members pay a $5 copay for an eye exam or a maximum $60 copay for a contact lens exam every 12 months with a participating provider. $120 frame or contact lens allowance every 12 months. Members also receive discounts on sunglasses, enhancements and LASIK.
- Retirement Plan Offered
- All employees of Adams 12 Five Star Schools may enroll in the retirement plans. Employees may choose from 403(b), 457(b) and 401(k) plans. Both traditional pre-tax contributions or Roth after-tax contributions are available. Employees may choose a flat dollar amount or a percentage to be deducted from their paychecks.

- Temp Leave: accrued based on number of days contracted to work and number of hours.
