Under The Hood
Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The hot, sticky days in the summer are no match for our shop air conditioning! We also have plenty of heat in the winter.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have a team of 3 techs, one detailer, one service manager, one service advisor, and a sales guy.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Tech work hours are 8-5 M-F
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have all the factory special tools and provide all the latest Hunter tire and alignment equipment. AC machines, chargers,etc... all you need are hand tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have a break aera with microwave, pizza over, fridge freezer, air fryer etc.
How many bays does your shop have?
7 hoists and room for under-hood work also.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
about 600 a month
What is your parts ordering process?
We stock a LARGE amount of parts and get parts delivered the next day before we open. We also source parts locally if needed.
What is your policy on side work?
We allow you to use the shop to work on your own vehicles when you need it.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We are proud to be part of TOP tech program with Ford where you can earn trips and cash for doing factory training. It's a great program that we support with Ford. We want you to be the best!
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We like to promote from within. We want to grow all our techs to Senior Master level. Education is great, and we can give you that experience.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We like to do yearly reviews. But our shop is small enough to talk every day about things and topics that arise. We are always open to new ideas and better ways to do things. Our rule is simple. If it is good for our customers and good for our people. We should do it.
What type of safety training is required?
We like to use the common-sense approach. Safety is a top priority and should always be top of mind.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We expect each tech to help the next when it's needed. Everyone started somewhere and learned from someone... let's all get better together.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We do local parades and support local events... you never see Walmart doing this!! It pays to buy local
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
The owner attends speaking events at the job fairs for local high schools, and we welcome students who want to job-shadow us at any time.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We have a short conversation when we schedule the interview.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
We get to know each other. We will spend more time together then we will with our family awake so we need to learn about each other. Culture is important and we want to keep what we have intact. We have a pretty tight team and like it that way.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We hope that we get the honest answers from our applicants that we talk to.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Once again.. we get to learn what your skills are through our interview process.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
We make most offers right after the interview. Be ready to make a decision.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
We like to move kinda quickly. Usually, within a few weeks, we like to have the spot filled.
Tech
Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00/year
We pay a % of labor sales. So the more you bill the more you get paid. Our techs love our pay plan and do well with it. Please reach out and we can explain...its very simple
