Collision Technician B Level
GENERAL SUMMARY
Collision Repair Technicians repair vehicle bodies after collisions. Their duties include assessing the extent of damage, determining if the repair is worth doing, liaising with insurance companies, conducting repairs, replacing damaged components, applying paint, and checking surfaces for imperfections.
Reports To: Assistant Body Shop Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to weld IE (Silicon Brazing, Aluminum Pulse welding, MIG welding)
- Must be able to fit and finish panels to meet manufactures requirements
- Must be to work filler and finish filler so it is ready for refinish
- Mechanical duties IE (Suspension, Cooling system repair, A/C Evac and recharge, Wiring repair and replacement, Dash and interior)
- Follow and perform OEM repair Procedures
- Frame Pulling (straightening frames where is allowed by OE requirements)
- Measure with a 3D measuring system
- I-CAR is a plus
- Ford Training is a plus
- Knowledgeable with Resistant Welding (PRO SPOT I4 and I5)
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
- Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities
- Maintain an organized and neat shop
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned and/or required by business need.

ASE preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.

7:30am to 6:00pm (depends on shift)
Saturday
6:30am to 12:30pm (depends on shift)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
