Recon Technician - Level B

Job Summary: Oak Motors is recruiting a skilled Automotive Reconditioning Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will perform various tasks to ensure vehicles are mechanically restored to a like-new condition. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, diagnose, and repair vehicles in an efficient and accurate manner following dealership standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues efficiently and accurately
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems and perform mechanical repairs.
  • Ensure all reconditioning work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of vehicle condition and repairs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Reconditioning Technician or similar role.
  • Punctuality, dependability, cooperation, and the ability to follow directions.

  • Examine a variety of makes and models of vehicles to determine if additional work is needed based on safety and preventive maintenance.

  • Solid understanding of automotive systems and components.

  • Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for mechanical repairs.

  • Operate all tools and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Wear personal protection equipment as directed.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

  • ASE Certification from a recognized automotive training program is preferred but not required.

  • Must be able to use both hands, bend, stoop, and twist on a regular basis.

  • Provide your own tools.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
