Diesel Technician - Mechanic - Interstate Fleet Service - Chesapeake, VA
Traditionally speaking if you have an inquisitive mind and like to see success due to the effort of your handy work, we want you to apply. Additionally, if you are more than inquisitive and hands-on, we need you as well. A lot of today’s trucks come in with warning lamps on (Engine, ABS, transmission, etc.) so we have to be able to first identify the truck system giving the error and then to troubleshoot it from there. We’re looking for technicians experienced in computer diagnostics and electrical repair in order to keep up with the demand of today's fleets.
Full-Time Position - the tasks below are some examples of various job activities:
- Diagnose warning lamps (Engine, ABS, transmission, or light the customer doesn’t even recognize).
- Identifying the truck system giving the error and then troubleshoot it from there.
- Computer diagnostics and electrical repair.
- Federal Inspections
- Brake Jobs
- Suspension Work
- Hub and Axle Repair
- Tire Repair
- Regular Service and Maintenance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year (prefer at least 4 years) of experience required
