Refrigerated Unit Repair Technician
Reefer Technician
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics and repair starting and charging system, cooling and re-charge, and electrical including common fault codes. Repairs include performing leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, soldering refrigerant lines, evaporator/condenser replacements and front & rear main engine seal replacements.
Perform repair and maintenance on reefer units in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
Must be able to diagnose and perform proper repairs.
Conform to all safety and health standards.
Requirements:
1-2 years of Transport Refrigeration Technician experience.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Must be able to be “on-call” for after-hours service.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and / or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail is key for this position
