GENERAL SUMMARY

Akins is growing and we are looking for eager Automotive Technicians to join our team. We need you as we are the 6th largest Ford Dealer in the United States! We are family owned and family operated and have been in business since 1966. We will pay for your training- come join us!

We need the following:

Ford Main Shop

• 3-Engine
• 2-Heavy/Light Line
• 2- A/C & Electrical

Truck Shop

• 2-Diesel
• 1-Transmission

Reports To: Service Manager

Pay Details:

• We will pay $30-$42 per hour flat rate. We have a tiered pay scale based off of hours produced which will pay up to $50 per hour flat rate.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Full Time
• ASE preferred but not required
• Must have valid GA Driver’s License
• Computer Literate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
