Setup and Accessory Technician

Are you an enthusiastic technician with a passion for setting up and accessorizing powersports units such as ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and snowmobiles? If you're looking to advance your career in a customer-focused and positive work environment, we have the perfect opportunity for you. The position of Setup and Accessory Technician is an entry-level role that plays a vital part in our exceptional team dedicated to servicing vehicles. Compensation ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, based on your experience (DOE).


Responsibilities:

  • Expertly set up new ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and snowmobile units to ensure they are fully operational and ready for customers.

  • Establish and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for a limited set of equipment in our facility.

  • Perform timely facility and building maintenance, including minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Dismantle faulty machines and equipment, replacing them with new or repaired components.

  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.

  • Collaborate on and provide recommendations for work-related contracts and services.

  • Supervise external contractors when necessary for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.

  • Actively participate in and uphold health, safety, quality, and lean initiatives and requirements.

  • Skillfully set up and install accessories on new powersports units.


Qualifications:

  • Possess a strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

  • Ideally, hold 1-3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.

  • A college degree or certificate in a technical area or related field is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings.

  • Familiarity with using basic measurement instruments, such as tape measures, scales, and gauges.

  • Physically capable of standing, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and lifting objects up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to read and write in English and perform basic mathematical tasks.

  • Basic computer knowledge for data entry.

  • Must acquire and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, side-loaders, 4-directional lifts, or cherry pickers.
