Diesel Tech III
Description
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced mechanic activities, assisting with diagnostics, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean and organized shop environment.
Responsibilities:
Advanced Mechanic Activities (60%):
- Clutch/suspension replacement and fixing drivelines
- Repairing multiple systems, including cooling, oil, and DPF
- Performing minor engine repairs
- Conducting DOT inspections
Diagnostics (25%):
- Assisting the Lead Technician with system and vehicle diagnostics
- Supporting other Technicians as needed with diagnostics
Records Maintenance (10%):
- Maintaining job records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
Shop Cleaning (5%):
- Picking up and organizing tools and equipment
- Sweeping and cleaning floors after job completion
- Disposing of waste and used products, such as oil, antifreeze, and steel
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Advanced Mechanic or similar role
- Knowledge of various vehicle systems and repair techniques
- Ability to perform DOT inspections
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
