Top Shop Challenge: What are a few things you are looking to improve on your team in 2023

Aside from the expected growth of younger technicians, and hitting our forecasted goals each month, the biggest thing we're working on is our sense of team. I have been having meetings twice a week in the shop reiterating the importance of "we" thinking rather than "me" thinking. I have challenged each member of service to be part of the bigger picture, part of the solution. We are having shop contests this month and next month to promote that team mentality, as well as get a little competition going. I am excited for the potential of where we can be in just a short amount of time.

I believe we can continue to work on and improve our culture, working through the youth that we already have here in our location to develop a inclusive environment that promotes the family like atmosphere.

Top Shop Challenge: What do you feel needs to change in order to attract more kids into our industry?

The one big thing that would attract more kids into the industry would be getting the manufactures more involved at the Highschool Level. Sponsoring more automotive classes and showing their names to the schools. The amount of techs leaving the industry and the amount of people getting educated in the craft is very imbalanced.
