Football season is upon us. I'm betting most in this arear are Eagles fans, although we do have some NY transplants that now live here. And then we have Cowboy fans as well. And let's not leave out the Washington Commanders just to round out the NFC East.So are you an Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Commanders or Other team fan?

Congratulations Gio Luna on achieving Subaru Master Technician Status. It is recognition that he completed 9 different skill groups, each containing 5 levels, as well as completed his ASE testing. His hard work and effort show that he is a Master in the automotive industry. Sommer’s is thankful to have Gio as a part of the team!!

Top Shop Challenge: Studies show the number one factor in employee retention is the relationship with a direct supervisor. Talk about the type of relationship your managers or owners have with technicians.
The managers in Caledonia, know the people! They care about their interests in and outside of work, provide flexibility to balance life and work and have common interests that keep the days upbeat and interesting!

Top Shop Challenge: What types of changes (small or large) have you seen in the industry in 2023?
We have seen a push in EVs, customers are holding onto their cars longer leading to more services, & warranty services etc. Younger techs coming into the industry and higher OEM times. Shipping is non predictable. These aren't the only changes I'm sure that we will see here in the near future. What major changes have you seen?

Our Green Bay shop is like family! this team creates really great one on one relationships, they know each others, families, kiddos. They do team gold outings. And the manager knows what each technician likes to do in their off time, they know the mangers strengths and weaknesses and he knows theirs because the environment is one of open and honest sharing.

Top Shop Challenge: Over the years, technicians have had some consistent complaints about the industry. WrenchWay is seeing more and more shops proactively address these issues and come up with solutions. What is one area where your shop has solved a common technician career complaint?
Here at Town Nissan, we have monthly shop meeting for the techs and advisors. They can come in at any time and voice their concerns, but this is an opportunity for everyone to be there and be on the same page.
